POSITION TITLE: Opportunity Advancement Manager

REPORTS TO:  Senior Director Race and Gender Equity   |  DEPARTMENT:  Adult Education

HOURS: Full-time  |  STATUS: Non-exempt  |  SALARY: $48,100

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Opportunity Advancement Manager serves as a liaison between YWCA SEW’s Racine Adult Education participants and area employers. Responsible for establishing relationships and processes that lead to living wage employment and advanced education opportunities for YWCA SEW’s students and graduates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Senior Director, Race and Gender Equity and Adult Education Director to design, develop and implement YWCA SEW’s Justice Focused Employment Model.
  • Build rapport/relationships with Adult Education participants, area employers and education/training institutions to advance living wage opportunities available to YWCA SEW’s students and graduates.
  •  Conduct outreach to and work collaboratively with area employers and education/training institutions to thoroughly understand employment and educational opportunities available to students.
  • Communicate employment and educational opportunities effectively to YWCA SEW students, acting as a bridge between employer and potential employee and providing warm connections to education/training institutions, as appropriate.
  • Establish highly effective recruitment channels that directly connect students to employers offering a living wage.
  • Provide follow-up support to employers and students who become employees, working toward successful outcomes for both employees and employers.
  • Under direction/supervision of Sr. Director, Race and Gender Equity, advocate for the needs and perspectives of students within employer HR functions to advance equitable work cultures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in YWCA SEW’s Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) Touchpoints system and other system(s) as determined.
  • Professionally represent YWCA SEW’s mission in the community and with partners and collaborators.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Education preferred;
  • Must have 5 years of related experience with relationship management, corporate recruitment, coaching or customer service; 2 years of supervisory experience desired or an equivalent level of related/relevant experience.
  • Bilingual: Spanish preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and public communication skills needed to cultivate customer relations with a diverse group of corporate clients.
  • Strong facilitator and project management skills.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License, insured automobile
