An Evening to Promote Racial Justice
A celebration of those working for racial equality, the 2016 Evening to Promote Racial Justice features keynote speaker Robin DiAngelo. She will discuss what it means to be white in a society that proclaims race meaningless and, speaking as a white person, she will take you through an analysis of white socialization. Her presentation will also address how race shapes the lives of white people, explain what makes racism so hard for whites to see, identify common white racial patterns and respond to white narratives that deny racism.
